Rules and Regulations
- On entering, all personal belongings must be left at a special rack available inside the library.
- The library staff will not in any way be responsible for contents of the handbags, briefcases, etc.
- The users may select books from the racks, but without disturbing the arrangement.
- Books once removed from the shelves must be placed at the nearest table or counter.
- The use of Mobile Phone, Eating, Sleeping, Slouching, Drinking, Laughing, Clapping, Smoking and Playing games, Chatting, etc. are strictly prohibited in the library.
- Musical instruments are not allowed in the library
- Silence must be observed in the library at all times.
- Books, Journals, and Newspapers should not be marked with ink or pencil.
- Tearing out pages or damaging the reading material in any way is strictly prohibited.
- No student will be served without the University Identity Card or Library card.
- Those who infringe rules shall be liable to disciplinary action.
- Violators will be subject to a fine between Rs500 and Rs5000 as per description given by the librarian.
- Textbooks will be issued for 15 days, and renewable.
- Library membership forms are available with the librarian and must be submitted along with (1*1) passport size picture.
- The librarian has the right to ask a user to leave the library premises if found violating any of the above rules.

- Reference Materials such as Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Atlases, and Research Reports must not be removed from the library premises
- Current issues of Periodicals and Newspapers only be consulted within the library
- Loaned Books can be reissued further for 15 days provided no other users has expressed the need for it.
- Overdue material will not be reissued.
- An overdue email is sent to users as a reminder of the due date automatically.
- If some loaned material is urgently required, library staff will act accordingly.
Loan Fines:
Books and other resources loaned from MYU Library must be returned within the due date, otherwise fine will be charged.
Fine: Rs10 per day
If fine exceeds Rs500, membership will cease until payment of the fine.
In the event of loss or damage to the loaned material, a user will be required to provide a replacement or fine which may be double the actual cost.
Digital Library
The MYU Digital Library section has an extensive collection of e-books and journals. More than 700 books in e format are available online through the Calibre E-Book Management system.
